Remember yesterday when I said things never go as planning when remodeling???

The day started innocently enough…

We finished the second coat of paint and got to remove the painters tape..Mmmmm, so satisfying.

Danielle cleaned up so we could move on to the faucet.

The faucet, there are always unforeseen issues with faucets. And why we pay plumbers the big bucks. This is my little cubby that I spent much of the morning curled up into.

And another reason why we pay plumbers so much, they must also be professional contortionists, because under a sink? It’s much smaller when you are in there, and all the plumbers I know are well, not small.

Here is the old faucet…

And no faucet…

And new faucet!

Honestly, it really wasn’t that bad. The plumbing was in good shape, so no emergency runs to Home Depot. Though it did take some time to rig up the faucet plug to operate properly, the faucet looks and works great.

And then…

Yep, the earthquake. It was absolutely NUTS. I have never experienced an earthquake before and so my brain wasn’t really able to figure out what was happening until it was almost over. This is when we scurried down the stairs and ran outside with the kids. After a short adjustment period to absorb what just happened and to add to the cellphone frenzy, a glass of wine was prescribed. So, no more progress on the bathroom to report. Not exactly the unforeseen complication I was expecting during the remodel, but then, they never are.
